UAV camera platforms provide the freedom to create scenes that have never been possible before. They combine dolly, crane and helicopter shots all into one, while their low altitude, close-up capabilities really pull viewers into the action. Imagine tracking a subject at ground level and then smoothly transitioning to high overhead in one sweeping shot, or exploring a forest path before climbing over the tree-tops and dropping down to follow a meandering river – all without a cut. The opportunities are never-ending and only limited by imagination.
Skylark’s specialised camera drones are specifically designed for aerial filming. Our work-horse Panasonic GH4 cameras deliver cinematic 4K resolution while an independently controlled, giro-stabilised gimbal keeps everything rock-steady for smooth, shake-free footage. A downlink to the ground shows you exactly what the camera sees and the remote gimbal controller allows you to direct angles and framing in real-time.

When required we may even be able to lift your own kit, such as a camera up to Red Epic size, or hire-in to meet production’s needs. However please discuss this in advance as these set-ups have to be configured and balanced beforehand.
Finally, compared to dollies and cranes our UAVs have no impact on the location and preparation time is minimal. On many shoots it’s possible to fly within 30 minutes of arrival.
